CCSS for ELA/Literacy: Application for struggling learners
Support for Students with Diverse Learning Needs (Modules 9.3, 10.1, 11.1)
Time: Approximately 45 minutes
Description
This session will focus on strategies for adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of all students, including English learners and students with disabilities. Participants will discuss potential challenges and entry points in the NY curriculum modules for English learners and students with disabilities and consider what a differentiated classroom looks and sounds like. Participants consider the following questions: “How do I bridge the gap between where they are and where they need to be? How can I use this curriculum to help my students?”
