Participants will engage in conversation about what they should see in an ELA classroom, based on the Achieve the Core, “Instructional Practice Guide”.
Session 3: Principals’ Session: Identifying Elements of Change in the ELA Classroom

Description:
Participants will use the Switch framework to identify where to focus in changing student outcomes through effective instruction that provides opportunity to think.
Session 4: Principals’ Session: Problem-Solving Identified Change -Elements in the ELA Classroom
Time:
105 minutes
Description:
Through the use of Switch framework, participants will identify how to change the situation, encourage habits and spread the best practices in teacher instruction for student thinking.
Session 5: Teacher Thinking on Student Thinking
Time:
90 minutes
Description:
Participants will review the examples of student learning from the teacher session on the prior day to identify instances of best practices around instruction that allows for student thinking.
