Overcoming Barriers to The “Read, Think, Talk, Write” Cycle

In this session, principals will dive deeply into an idea they met briefly in Session 1 the day before -- that in order to write well, students must deeply understand the topic or concept they are writing about. This leads to the “read, think, talk, write” cycle that is embedded is the 3-8 ELA modules. Participants will learn about the “read, think, talk, write” cycle as they themselves engage in viewing a video,, thinking, talking and writing and examine module unit overviews to see the cycle in action.
