Lesson 7 continues the skill progression of answering text-dependent questions through writing. Students will be introduced to the NY Regents Text Analysis rubric, evaluate an authentic written response, and then write their own responses to a text-dependent question related to St. Lucy’s Home for Girls Raised by Wolves. They will evaluate their own work using the ELA Text Analysis Rubric. Though the Text Analysis Rubric is used for formal responses to text, this evaluation is meant to be a less formal way for students to become familiar with this rubric.
