Registration is now being accepted for the Common Core Network Team training being held May 13-16, 2013 in Albany, NY. An overview of the training and agenda are now also available. Information about the registration process is listed below.
Registration: In an effort to streamline the registration process and provide better customer service, our registration process has changed. One of the new changes requires you to create a user name and password on the registration site. This user name and password will be needed each time you register for this training and for all future trainings. We appreciate your cooperation and support of this new process that will allow you many features that we haven't previously offered. These features include the ability to edit your registration information and the flexibility to complete the registration form over time as opposed to completing it all in one sitting. This will allow you to re-enter the site to provide us with items such as purchase orders and roommate requests.
- Registration Deadline: The official registration ended Friday, May 3, 2013, but we do have some seats remaining and will leave the registration page open until they are filled; on a first come, first served basis. Please refer to the NTI Registration Flowchart that outlines the new stages of the registration process. Please be sure to read this information carefully before you begin your registration. Registration Fee & Payment: The registration fee for this Institute is $86 for two days and $208 for all four days. The training location is contracted with NYSED to collect the registration fee. NYSED will provide you with the name of the location at a later date. Please be advised that no federal ARRA (Race to the Top) funds may be used to pay the registration fee as a portion of the registration will be applied towards the cost of food.
Special Note for Network Teams & Network Team Equivalents: You have previously been provided with an allocation of participants and Common Core Ambassador designees that your team may register for this training. Please be sure that when registering participants that you do not exceed your allocation. NYSED will compare your final participant registration with your allocation for accuracy. If you wish to increase your allocation for participation in this training, please e-mail Margaret Brady firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. All extra slots will be made available on a first come, first served basis.
Materials and Institute Preparation: The electronic materials for the May Network Team Institute will be posted on EngageNY as they are received from the presenters. All participants are required to bring a laptop computer with wireless Internet access. Participants are encouraged to download presenter materials directly to their laptops prior to the institute. What should participants bring to this training

- Other materials may be required for the training at the request of the session presenters - participants will be notified of these needs prior to the Institute via e-mail.
Hotel, Travel and Reimbursement Information:
NYSED will pay for travel costs and hotel rooms (for double occupancy rooms only if staying at the training site.) The registration cost is the responsibility of the participant. All participants who are planning to stay in single occupancy rooms must provide their own room payment and stay at an area hotel located in the general vicinity of the training location as single occupancy rooms cannot be accommodated at the venue site.
Travel reimbursement forms are available online at: http://usny.nysed.gov/rttt/ntinstitute/reimbursement.html These forms will not be provided to participants in hard copy format. You must print and submit the forms. The deadline for submitting for reimbursement for the May 13-16 training is June 17, 2013.
