Teachers, NTI Leaders
This Turnkey Kit is designed to build teachers’ and administrators’ understanding of how CKLA materials can be used to support diverse learners as well as the ways in which instructional supports can be added to meet specific needs. All participants will become grounded in the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, and develop an understanding of how this framework can inform the types of instructional adjustments they layer into curricula. Participants will also have an opportunity to practice building in support and scaffolding components of Listening and Learning (i.e., adjusting the questions) and Skills lessons (i.e., identifying techniques that can be used to support student needs). Supportive materials (i.e., Supplemental Guide and Assessment and Remediation Guide) will be highlighted. Participants will also examine how flexible groups and other supports can provide students with targeted instruction within and outside of the Skills block.
Collectively, this kit contains approximately 7.5 hours of training.
