The decodable Reader for Unit 3 is "Kids Excel." This fictional Reader consists of profiles of kids who excel at various activities—spelling, swimming, playing soccer, jumping rope, splashing, math, rock skipping. Each profile progresses across several selections. The stories in the CKLA program are 100% decodable, meaning they are made up entirely of spellings and Tricky Words introduced or reviewed quickly in class during previous lessons.
